We feature local businesses and individuals providing you with a free guide to East London from behind the wheel. These are businesses and individuals who have a passion for their local area, support our cause and would love to have a classic car owner visit or contact them. We may visit these businesses and give you our view on what to eat, drink or buy, where to park and what to expect!

PEOPLE

  • Henry Waugh

    FOUNDER

A Car and Bike enthusiast I want to share what this brilliant area of London has to offer with the car community and beyond.

I designed the logo for the club with my sister, Frankie Waugh, who has also spent a great deal of time here. It takes inspiration from the colours on the famous Bow Bells Pub and is a modern take on an old pub sign.  These establishments in the east end have stood for generations, they're waypoints and community hubs, they have moved forward with the times and adapted with the generations, they welcome all and that's what we will do in the car scene.

My professional background is in events management within the art and luxury market, fuelled by a passion for good service and exciting projects.

I had always planned to work in the classic car community and have recently begun this journey. I am excited to be launching this project alongside my career.

Please do make contact if you have anything you think East London Car Club can support you with.

  • PIERRE MOREAU

    PHOTOGRAPHER

I’m a photographer with a strong interest in automotive currently based in Essex/London. Originally from France, I moved to the United-Kingdom in 2018 while finishing my engineering studies.

I started as an apprentice in a garage repairing cars, and then continued my studies to learn in depth how an engine works. All these years gave me a solid knowledge of what goes on underneath a car body.

After working in the car industry for a major manufacturer, I felt the need for a change and decided to take a small (big) turn and explore another field that intrigued me: photography.

Self-taught, I’m now pursuing my passion for cars with a camera in hand, and so far, it’s been quite an enjoyable experience.

If you are working in the automotive field (or related to it), or just like me, you are a car enthusiast and are looking for any photographic requirements, do not hesitate to get in touch, I would love to hear from you and discuss how I can help you

  • FABWICK

    BAR AND EVENTS VENUE

Fabwick opened its doors in 2024, introducing a fresh, dynamic, and multifaceted space to London’s ever-evolving nightlife and cultural landscape. Far more than just a bar, Fabwick is a vibrant hub where the worlds of culture, creativity, music, and nightlife seamlessly converge, offering an unforgettable experience for all who step through their doors.

They were the venue to host us for our inaugural event A Classic Car Sunday With East London Car Club and we’re so thankful for their support!

The venue sits within the vibrant Queen’s Yard, Hackney Wick an area dressed in glorious graffiti and steeped in a history of creativity and good times.

    We certainly recommend a visit.

    Fabwick

Where to park? There are plenty of public parking spaces in Hackney Wick around the bar but the team love Classic Cars. They may be able to accommodate your classic right outside!

Please ask one of the team on arrival if it’s possible as the colourful backdrop is amazing for a photoshoot!

  • THE BOW BELLS

    PUB

The first Pub to be added to the East London Car Club Guide is the Bow Bells.  It’s my local and certainly an important local meeting point for many of us in the area!

The Bow Bells is an iconic, independent family-run pub with over 150 years of history. A true Cockney boozer, that has been welcoming locals and visitors alike since the 1800s. Today, it continues that tradition with a warm, welcoming & inclusive atmosphere where everyone feels at home.

From the buzz of West Ham United home games to the dazzling performances of drag queens, it celebrates East London’s rich diversity and spirit. Here, history and modernity collide: honouring tradition while embracing contemporary culture, offering a pub experience like no other.

The Bow Bells Recently welcomed Dead Pedros which I can confirm is a fantastic addition to their offering along with their great range of drinks and a friendly team.

    Cheers!
